troublewithmistletoe-mm-c

If she has her way…

Willa Davis is wrangling puppies when Keane Winters stalks into her pet shop with frustration in his chocolate-brown eyes and a pink bedazzled cat carrier in his hand. He needs a kitty sitter, stat. But the last thing Willa needs is to rescue a guy who doesn’t even remember her…

…He’ll get nothing but coal in his stocking.

Saddled with his great-aunt’s Feline from Hell, Keane is desperate to leave her in someone else’s capable hands. But in spite of the fact that he’s sure he’s never seen the drop-dead gorgeous pet shop owner before, she seems to be mad at him…

Unless he tempers “naughty” with a special kind of nice…

Willa can’t deny that Keane’s changed since high school: he’s less arrogant, for one thing—but he doesn’t even remember her. How can she trust him not to break her heart again? It’s time to throw a coin in the fountain, make a Christmas wish–and let the mistletoe do its work…

My Review:

Willa has had a rough go at this thing called life. Even though she has been constantly kicked down, she still made a way for herself and has a pet store which she adores. After a long strong of picking terrible men, Willa decides to go on a men strike and give them up. Fate and the powers of a fountain unfortunately have other ideas.

Keane has been left in charge of his aunts evil cat. This sucker destroys everything in its path leaving Keane no option but to seek help which happens to be Willa and her little shop. From the minute he sees Willa he knows he wants her and bad but she has her walls up and doesn’t want anything to do with him. They have a past that he isn’t aware of and Willa is determined not to let him in on the problem. This doesn’t stop Keane from going after what he wants though.

I absolutely love all things Christmas so when they talk about Willa’s obsession and making her store look like Christmas threw up in there, I’m like YYYYYEEEESSSS. Willa loves to spread the Christmas cheer despite the lack of cheer she grew up with. I loved the banter between Willa and Keane. Neither of them would let anything slide which of course brings more steam between them. They were both such great people that despite their past and anything else they were perfect for each other and you can’t help sitting at the edge of your seat waiting for them to realize the same.

Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Jonte Williamson has a dream: become Nashville’s next big star. Finding herself unexpectedly homeless hot off the plane wasn’t part of her grand plan.

Cash Bellini is a simple man: he loves his twin sister, Dolly, hates country music, and stays far away from anything more complicated than that.

When Jonte stumbles into Cash’s bar, helping out the homeless country music wannabe is the last thing on his agenda. Pity someone forgot to send the memo to his too-big heart and meddling twin. Throw in a pair of baby blue cowboy boots, a pool table and a splash of tequila, and these two are set to ignite in a hot sexy mess! Will either of their hearts survive the tug-o-war between what they want and what they need?

Goodreads / Amazon

My Review:

Jonte moves to Nashville from Australia in hopes of following her dream of being a singer. Only problem is, everything falls apart within hours of getting in the city. Nowhere to live and no phone or computer, she stumbles into a rock bar and meets sexy Cash and his twin sister Dolly. Dolly decides to offer to help Jonte help through Cash but how do you just accept help from 2 strangers you just met even if one is incredibly hot.

Jonte promises her family 6 weeks to get on her feet and further her singing career or she will go back home. Cash makes it all possible but now the problem is how do they keep their feelings at bay when the future is unknown.

This book is seriously everything you could want in a romance novel. Sexy country boys, music, drama and good ol’ grandparents. Nanny and Pop were seriously one of my favorite characters especially when Jonte meets Nanny. I died. Their was so much romance and lust brewing all over the place. Seriously though, if you are reading this review then you need to go grab this book. You’ll get sucked in and love every second!

My Review:

Drama, drama drama. If you like some serious drama then I suggest you grab your popcorn and get ready for the show. I seriously thought I jumped back into my high school days with all the intermingling of friends.

Livvy visits her dad in Oregon for the summer. When she gets back everything has changed. Her best friend Em seems to be high or drunk all the time and is having 24/7 parties but people she never would have even spoken to before. On top of that she’s all over the new guy who Livvy came seem to get away from. Being their senior year they knew things were going to be different but they didn’t realize the extent that it would come to. Betrayal from every direction and constantly being blindsided seems to be Livvy’s new reality. Once things seem like they are starting to die down and find some semblance of normalcy, everything blows up again.

I loved that we are constantly hit with curve balls. Livvy was such a strong character and she stood her ground most of the time and wasn’t persuaded easily. Each character was well developed and you really got to know the ins and out of each character. Once again Monica Murphy kills it and takes us for a crazy ride.

My review:

I CAN’T CONTAIN ALL THE FEELS I HAVE FOR THIS BOOK. I mean seriously guys, this book was incredible. I haven’t enjoyed a book like this is so long. I felt all the emotions and felt like I was inside the book. I laughed so hard a few times that I’m pretty sure my neighbors think I’m a nut. I went through a phase that I wanted to be a wedding/event planner and then I wanted to be a baker and make beautiful wedding cakes so it was like living that dream through this book.

Veronica is an event planner who wants her happily ever after but not just with anyone, she wants her ex. After 3 months she finally gets a call from Jake asking to meet. The last thing she expected was for him to ask her to be his wedding planner, with another woman. The entire thing because a nightmare. His future wife is insanely stunning and has a perfect french accent. Jake and Sandrine want Nica involved in everything to the point that they even want her in the wedding. Both Jake and Sandrine are surgeons so there are many times that they are not able to be there for meetings and instead send Levi, the best man and hot-headed sexy asshole. The last thing she expected was for Levi to constantly be in her personal bubble and making comments that make in blood boil in all the good ways.

Originally all I wanted was for Nica to get a backbone and completely ruin the wedding and steal the groom even though that’s a total a’hole move. Once Levi really got in the picture and starting making her do things she would never do and him showing this whole new side. I died. I mean I’ve had book boyfriends but Levi takes the gold. I wanted to jump in that book and snatch him up.

Like I said before, this book was so well written and just amazing. If you love a good romance and you want to laugh and fall in love; get this book!! It was seriously incredible and one of my favorites of 2016.

My Review

The drama between Lucy and Harris continues in book 2. Immediately we get caught up in the what if and doubts that we would go through and would feel if we were Lucy. Lucy is seriously such a bad ass. She doesn’t take crap from anyone and she has no problem taking care of herself. She doesn’t need a bodyguard because she can more then handle herself. Besides her fierceness, I absolutely love the relationship she had with her family. When she puts her family through a big scare the ones that stood out the most were her twin little brothers. Everyone needs to be loved as all consuming as her family.

Unfortunately the drama with Jenna and her ex isn’t resolved. It completely escalated and all of your worse fears come true. All I wanted to go was jump into this book and start beating people up and locking them up for being awful. Once again we are left with a major cliff hanger.

Seriously guys you need to jump on this series. They are pretty quick reads so just get them all and get the party started!!

LUCY & HARRIS Blog Tour: Craving Lucy Review

CatchingLucyCatching Lucy (Lucy & Harris, #1) by Terri Anne Browning

Lucy

So yeah, my dad is a rock star; hes the drummer for Demons Wings. Big whoop. Honestly, the fame that comes with having a famous dad is not all that you think it might be. It sucks. You have no privacy. Oh yeah, and dont let me forget about the lunatics that want to do who knows what to you just to get famous. When I leave the house every morning I feel like my life isnt my own. Between the paparazzi, the fans, my bodyguard, and everything else I feel like Im part of the freak show in the circus most days.

It wasnt always like this, though. I didnt always feel like this. Once upon a time I had a best friend who helped me deal with this life that we both belonged to.

Harris

So yeah, my dad is a rock star; hes the drummer for OtherWorld. And Lucy was and always will be the only girl to ever know the real me. She was my best friend, my voice of reason. My SANITY. Maybe she outgrew me. But I will never outgrow her. Its been years since Ive seen her, and I miss her so damn bad. All I want is a chance to get back what weve lost, to have my best friend in my life again.

I wasnt counting on how grown up my friend might have gotten, how beautiful she is now. The more time I spend with this new Lucy, I have to wonder if I really want that old friendship backor if I want much, much more.

ROCKING KIN (Lucy & Harris, #3)

UN-SHATTERING LUCY (Lucy & Harris, #4) – Up for pre-order!
My Review

Wow, this book was really expectedly good. You know when you read a synopsis and it sounds really book but it never turns out to be that good; that was not the case. It was a quick read but well worth it.

Lucy and Harris grew up together in the rockstar world. Both of their dads were in famous bands so they had to grow up on the road and in the spotlight so they naturally bonded. They were incredibly close until one day Lucy realized her feelings had transformed into more than just friendship. She pushed Harris away until one day he sent her an email inviting her to his club. She had no choice but to go which is when her world gets turned upside down again. Now she has the epic battle of trying to keep her feelings out when she knows he’s the only one for her.

My Review:

I cannot even begin to convey how this book make me feel. Once again I find myself blown away from Rita Branches writing! She has a way that gets you completely engrossed and the rest of the world fades away. This book was no exception. I swear I was crying or smiling in every chapter(seriously though I was ready to start ugly crying.)

Charlotte aka Charlie loosing her parents in a horrific way; shattering her life and dreams. She is forced to move in with her parents best friends and her ex best friend. The problem with living with Jacob is they hate each other passionately but it’s just a front. Charlie is barely surviving and doesn’t know how to handle Jake when she misses him so much. Jacob is holding huge secrets that force him to constantly push Charlie away but all he wants to do is mend her heart. Unfortunately life keeps punching the both of them in the face and throat, leaving them both broken and lost and not knowing how to find their way.

Loosing a loved one is one of the hardest things we will ever go through. Rita Branches depicts the sorrow and despair perfectly. You don’t even have to know the way it feels firsthand because you will feel every emotion that is coursing through the characters of this book. As much sadness as there is; there is also hope. Love conquers all and this book is a perfect depiction of the extent of that statement.

Many people will find different things/situations that they can relate to in this book. So many people suffer from depression, loneliness or suicidal thoughts and this book expresses the depth to what it is to feel those things. Jacob was the perfect exactly of what of a lot people need who go through these struggles. Even if you do not have experience with these emotions or circumstances, I would still recommend you take the time to read this book. You will learn so much and go on this amazing journey that we are fortunate enough to embark on.
